REPORT OF ACTIVITIES FOR 2019/2020 & 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

Preamble

The 2019/2020 academic session, dovetailing into the 2020/2021 academic session of Nnamdi Azikiwe University like that of other universities all over the country was encumbered by challenges related to ASUU industrial Action and COVID-19 Pandemic, both of which to a large extent virtually ground university-wide activities to a halt.

The university was eventually able to institute measures to actualize recovery from the academic draw back through a revision of the university calendar to enable the completion of two academic sessions and graduation of the students, over a shorter period of time.

The overall scenario to a considerable extent affected the output of CHALADDRAT, as with other departments and centers of the University.

The following is the brief on the vision, achievements, challenges and goals of CHALADDRAT during the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic sessions together with projections for future years.

The activities of CHALADDRAT during the index period centered on four thematic areas, most of which were carried out under CHALADDRAT’s “Gown-to-Town Project” – Services, Training, Advocacy, and Research.
